Latest news from our development department is the imminent release of a system developed for all the citrus farmers out there plagued by various different fruit flys and other pests.
By releasing sterile moths in citrus orchards at the right time, reproduction of new moths is virtually eliminated and together with other biocontrol methods allow farmers to optimise production output at minimal costs. This is a sustainable and environmentally friendly substitute for chemical pesticides used in the past.
The new system allows for easy and accurate dosage of the sterile moths and is currently undergoing testing.
